As a GM for Cogentrix, I really enjoy developing a strong succession management program for Rumford Power.

Whether it be Plant Operations, Maintenance Management, EHS or Regulatory, having well developed employees in these fields contribute to the success of a merchant power plant. We also have a great relationship with Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) where we will host a co-op student for the summer. In addition, we also provide access to the plant for a team of students to engage in project management experience through the MMA Capstone program. Nearly 75% of all plant employees are MMA graduates at Rumford Power including the last four new hires. I can carry this same sentiment into my personal life as a volunteer merit badge counselor for a local Boy Scout Troop. As a merit badge counselor, I can utilize my skills that I have developed as a Manager at Cogentrix to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of citizens.
