OUR  HISTORIC  OPERATING  PORTFOLIO

The Cogentrix portfolio of power generating facilities consists of a combination of solar thermal, hydro and lower energy cost coal-fired facilities. The portfolio results from facilities developed or acquired by Cogentrix that operate under long-term power purchase agreements with investment grade utility customers, providing a stable, diversified base of operations.

An important milestone for Cogentrix was the February 2009 acquisition of Sunray Energy, Inc. Sunray is comprised of the SEGS I and SEGS II solar trough, thermal generating facilities located in Daggett, California. As a result of the acquisition, Cogentrix is now one of only a few owners of commercial scale solar thermal plants in the United States.

In February 2010, Cogentrix finalized its acquisition of Eti Elektrik ("Eti"), a joint stock company organized under the law of Turkey, completing an effort originally begun in October 2008. Eti, headquartered in Istanbul, owns a portfolio of operational, in-construction, licensed and license-pending Turkish power generating assets. Today the portfolio includes approximately 488 MW of hydro and wind, 383 MW of which are high value hydroelectric plants located throughout Turkey.
