HOPEWELL

The James River Cogeneration Company Plant is 100% owned by Cogentrix Inc. and was constructed in 1987 to provide steam to Honeywell and electricity to Dominion Virginia Power. JRCC's PPA is currently NOVEC. The 33-acre tract on which JRCC is located is leased from Honeywell. The plant has six Foster wheeler boilers rated at 157,500 lbs/hr each. Steam is supplied to two General Electric single automatic extraction/condensing turbines rated at 58.5 MW each.
