COTTAGE GROVE

Cottage Grove is a 245 MW combined-cycle natural gas-fired cogeneration facility with fuel oil backup, located in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Cottage Grove began commercial operations in October 1997 and provides its full rated output to Northern States Power, an operating company of Xcel Energy, under a PPA that expires in October 2027. Cottage Grove also provides steam to the 3M Company ("3M") under a steam supply agreement. Cogentrix owns a 7% interest in Cottage Grove and fully performs the O&M and commercial management for the facility.
