ROCKY MOUNT

Rocky Mount is a 120 MW stoker coal-fired cogeneration facility located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Rocky Mount began commercial operations in October 1990 and provides VEPCo with declared production capability of 115.5 MW of electricity under a PPA with an initial term expiring in October 2015. Rocky Mount is equipped with a baghouse for the control of particulate emissions, a spray dryer absorption flue gas desulfurization system and an enhanced over-fire air/flue gas recirculation system for control of nitrogen oxides. Cogentrix operates and owns 20% of Rocky Mount.
