Cogentrix Field Services, LLC offers extensive maintenance and
repair services as well as superior outage
planning and management services to the power industry. The Company has the
experience and forward vision to plan and execute maintenance outages that are
on schedule and within budget. Our specialists are fully trained and experienced
in a broad range of services for coal and natural gas fired power plants,
including:
Steam Turbine and Combustion
Turbine outage management
Technical direction, owner's rep technical assistance, as well as complete
turnkey outage support. Turbine experience ranging from 15 MW Mitsubishi steam
turbines up to 400 MW GE D5 steam turbines as well as Westinghouse 501F and GE
7FA and other combustion turbines in combined or simple cycle. 
Boiler
inspections
Complete boiler inspections including UT surveys of waterwall tubes,
superheater, boiler bank and economizer tubes. Detailed histories can be kept
using state of the art computer mapping programs.
Boiler and pressure vessel repair
Emergency tube repairs and component replacements for economizers, superheater
panels, and waterwalls. All utilize our ASME and National Board stamps with
in-house welders certified in a wide range of procedures including Inconel and
P91. We also fabricate boiler pressure parts in-house, including economizer and
superheater panels.
Generator inspection and testing
services
Generator condition assessment, pre-outage planning, repair oversight and owners
rep technical assistance. Experience ranging from 15 MW Mitsubishi to 1100 MW
Westinghouse generators.
Certifications
Cogentrix Field Services holds ASME "S" "PP" and "U" and
National Board "R" stamps.

Troubleshooting
Our field technicians have the experience to assist with analyzing and resolving
a wide range of unexpected system wide operational problems from the boiler to
the step up transformer.
Electrical testing
Electrical testing services including protective relay and meter testing and
calibration, infrared scanning, medium voltage cable testing, transformer
testing, battery testing, medium and low voltage breaker testing and ground
system testing.
